Ten Weeks in Seville: Mercado Plaza del Museo

Some beautiful original artwork... and some more touristy prints, set up in the plaza outside of the Museo de Bellas Artes. The museum is a former convent and well worth a visit for the stunning interior of the last room.

This blog is a record of my experience in Seville during my 10 week internship at EDDEA Arquitectos as part of Beam's Orange and Green Sustainable Design Placements.

During my diploma in architecture I wrote my final year thesis on our relationship with nature, current architectural design approaches within the industry and how we can relearn valuable lessons from vernacular architecture.

I concluded that we could create a responsive architecture through remembering our past, understanding our local context and through the invaluable knowledge of communities, arts and culture.

I am a Part II Architectural Designer having completed my Diploma in architecture at the University of Portsmouth.

Currently based in Bristol and working in Bath, I'm passionate about experiencing different cities, cultures and environments through travel, architecture, photography and food!
